Refund Policy

Cherry has a simple refund policy: if you’re not happy, we’ll refund you within 30 days of payment. No questions asked.
We’re a tool that’s supposed to help you write. If we’re not doing that for you, taking your money would be rude.
The 14-day trial comes first
Every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. You give us your card during signup, but we don’t charge anything until the trial ends. If you cancel within the trial, you pay nothing.
Most refund requests come from people who didn’t realize the trial had ended. The 30-day refund window catches those cases too.
How the 30-day refund works
If you decide Cherry isn’t for you within 30 days of being charged, email hello@cherrydraft.com and we’ll process a full refund. You don’t need to explain why. We don’t take it personally.
Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe. They usually clear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
After the refund, your subscription ends and you lose access to Cherry. If you want to come back later, you can.
What about after 30 days?
After 30 days, refunds are at our discretion. We try to be reasonable. If something genuinely went wrong — a billing error, a service outage that affected your work, an unauthorized charge — email us and we’ll figure it out. We’d rather refund you than have you fight a chargeback.
For routine changes-of-mind after 30 days, you can cancel anytime via “Manage billing” in your account settings. The cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then, and we don’t charge again.
Annual plans
Annual plans get the same 30-day refund window. After 30 days, we don’t pro-rate annual plans — if you cancel six months in, you keep access for the remaining six months but we don’t refund the unused portion. The annual price already reflects a discount over monthly billing, so partial refunds would undercut that math for everyone.
Exception: if there’s a substantial change to the service (e.g. we remove a major feature you signed up for), we’ll offer a pro-rated refund per our Terms of Service.
Chargebacks
Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. Chargebacks cost us money and can lead to your account being suspended automatically. If something’s wrong with a charge, we want to fix it directly.
Disputed charges that turn out to be legitimate may result in account termination, since chargebacks above a certain rate put our payment processing at risk.
How to request a refund
Email hello@cherrydraft.com from the address on your Cherry account. Include:
- The charge you want refunded (date and amount help)
- Optionally, anything you’d want us to know — but you don’t have to explain
We respond within two business days. The refund itself goes through Stripe within an hour of approval, then your bank handles the rest of the timeline.
